We've been here twice now; Born In A Barn doesn't disappoint! Upon entering, you're greeted with rustic decor and a plethora of vintage memorabilia to gawk at. The food is excellent, and the portions are very generous, especially considering the reasonable prices. My partner and I splurged with an appetizer, and that with two plentiful, delicious meals and drinks came out to be under $60. I know some dislike the concise menu, but that to me is often the sign of a restaurant that is confident in making sure every item on the menu is a banger. They know their audience, and you don't have to overextend yourself to please. You can tell everyone in there is busting their behind to keep things running smoothly. Our server, Ellie, was very polite and attentive; she did everything she could to keep us comfy and get us seated as quickly as possible. I'm thankful to have a gem like this in town! We're sure to be back whenever we're craving some reliably tasty American fare. If you're passing through Laramie, Born In A Barn is surely worth the stop!

Stopped at Born in a Barn while passing through Laramie during a weekend adventure with my kids on our way to the Snowy Range Mountains and then into Colorado. This ended up being a great place to relax and grab a meal during our road trip. My kids ordered the wings and the barn nachos, and the nacho portion was huge. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and there was definitely plenty of food to share. I had the mushroom and swiss burger with fries, and it was amazing. The burger was cooked well, full of flavor, and the fries were the perfect side after a long day of driving and exploring. The atmosphere had a fun and welcoming vibe that fit perfectly with a mountain road trip stop. I always enjoy finding local restaurants during scenic travel adventures, and this is definitely one we would stop at again while traveling through Wyoming.

This is the spot. Go. Order a Chicago’ish dog some Happy Buffalo wings, The Naughty burger, a couple of Snake River pints. I hope you get Sam as your bartender. Truly the song bird of our generation.

I really Went in on the food this time. I had The Popper burger with spicy fries which had the perfect balance of flavors. For the wings i had the hottest as a challenge. The raging buffalo mixed with all types of 🔥 hot peppers. It was most definitely hot. The bartender was friendly too. Thanks 5 stars my friends!

Left totally stuffed, with leftovers. Shaymus Tots were great, the hatch peppers really made the dish but the pork on the tots was good as well. Burger was colossal and messy but delicious, fries were good. No clear drink menu but you can order 32oz drafts.

Born In A Barn delivers a fun, laid-back vibe that’s perfect for winding down after a long day. The atmosphere was easily the highlight—inviting, energetic, and full of character. Service was attentive and friendly, with staff who genuinely seemed to care. As for the food, it was decent but didn’t quite hit the mark. The flavors were okay, but a few dishes felt underseasoned or a bit overcooked. Still, for the price point and the overall experience, it’s worth a visit—especially if you’re more about the ambiance and good company than gourmet fare.

This was my 2nd time there. The first time I went with a co-worker for lunch about a year ago when we were in Laramie on a pc deployment. This time I got the exact same thing as last time which was the "Barnchos"...House-made chips with queso, shredded BBQ pork, jalapeños, red onion, bacon, cheddar cheese, and spicy BBQ sauce. Yummy To My Tummy! Lol I got it to go so while I waited I sat at the bar and got to see a very long train ride by. It was a treat and reminded me of a movie scene. Great food, great location and great atmosphere!

It was delicious 😋 good price. Very filling. We got an appetizer+ two large burger meals for $50 all together. Excellent quality and we left very full and satisfied.

A friendly, laid back bar and eatery downtown Laramie. Seated right away, our gal brought us waters and promptly took our order. The sound level was great - we could chat and enjoy our meal in peace. Our food came out hot and delicious! Burgers are the bomb, and the barncho tots are the bomb.

So, I came into town looking for historical information. First time here and when I found this place, it drew me right here. I actually googled where to get a good lunch and it pulled up. I highly recommend this place. I asked the waiter what was his favorite and he quickly said cowboy Joe. I said let's order that. To say it was incredible, would be an understatement. It was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere, great food and historically, the building has been here for over 154 years. It's no wonder they got Best of the Best 4 years running. All I can say, is I love it!!! I am from the deep south and would highly recommend eating the cowboy Joe hamburger.
